Transport in Chelsea

Chelsea doesn’t have its own railway or Tube station, which is unusual for London Boroughs. It does have a couple of Tube stops close by at Sloane Square and Gloucester Road.

Pimlico, Imperial Wharf and South Kensington are a short walk away too.

There are buses that run all across Chelsea, some are daytime only but some run 24/7. The Oyster card will cover those and the Tube when you use it.

Otherwise, the area is very walkable or cyclable and there’s the usual taxis, Uber and other ride services should you need them.

To be fair to Chelsea, it’s one of the nicer boroughs and is actually a pleasure to walk around. There are lots of parks, roads are reasonably wide and the properties are nice to look at, so it’s not a bad place to walk.
