About London Metropolitan University

London Metropolitan University, or the London Met as it’s also known, is made up of the former University of North London and London Guildhall University. It was formed in 2002 to provide hig- quality education in north London.

London Metropolitan University has campuses in the City of London and Islington as well as a presence in libraries and museums across the city. The main campus is on Holloway Road in Islington, by Emirates Stadium.

The university is known for business, law, computing, digital media, human science, social subjects, social sciences, art, architecture and design. There are around 160 degree courses in all, covering these core subjects.

London Metropolitan University has around 10,500 students, a mix of undergraduates and postgraduates.

Transport in London

London has an excellent transport system. Car use is challenging but the range of public transport options is generous.


 

London is surrounded by airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Stansted and Luton. Each is less than an hour’s bus, tube or train ride from the city centre.

London also has plenty of rail links covered by some pretty famous stations. Those stations include Paddington, London Liverpool Street, St Pancras International, King's Cross St Pancras, Waterloo, Clapham Junction and many others.
