Birkbeck University of London

Birkbeck University of London is located in Bloomsbury and was originally established back in 1823. It’s a well-respected university that tends to rank well and is known for its Birkbeck Institute for the humanities, science, research, history, psychology, computer science and physics.

City, University of London

City, University of London is located in the heart of the capital and was originally founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute. The modern university is known for the City Law School, the School of Community & Health Sciences and related fields.

Imperial College London

Imperial College London was created by Prince Albert and merged the Royal College of Science, Royal School of Mines and City and Guilds College into one. The current college has a narrow focus on science, technology, medicine and business and is highly regarded across the world for those subjects.

King's College London

London School of Economics (LSE)

The London School of Economics is one of the most popular universities in London where all courses are massively oversubscribed. The university is well known for anthropology, criminology, social psychology, sociology and social policy, international relations and business-related courses.

Queen Mary University

Queen Mary University (QMUL) is an ancient establishment founded in 1785. It is based in east and central London with campuses across that area. The university is known for research, medicine, languages, English literature, dentistry, drama and materials technology.

School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS)

The School of Oriental and African Studies is based in Bloomsbury, London, and is a world-leading institution for the study of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. University College London (UCL)

University of the Arts London (UAL)

About Fitzrovia

Fitzrovia is an area of London that includes Camden and Westminster. It borders Soho, Marylebone and Mayfair and is regarded as one of the best places to live in London.

Transport in Fitzrovia

Transport in Fitzrovia is plentiful, just like it is in most of central London.


There are Great Portland Street, Goodge Street and Warren Street to the north and Oxford Street Tube station to the south.


Euston Station is just north of Fitzrovia, while St Pancras International and Kings Cross are a couple of stops to the north-east.


Buses run throughout Fitzrovia and offer both daytime and 24/7 services and you have cabs, Uber, bicycles, rickshaws and all manner of ways to get around.


Walking is obviously viable too. The city is densely packed so you rarely have far to walk to find something to eat or drink, or something to see or do.

Shopping and dining in Fitzrovia

Fitzrovia has plenty of shopping and dining options, regardless of your taste or budget. It’s a lively part of the city with a lot going on, so you’ll find a little bit of everything here.


Highlights are Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street. They may, or may not, technically be part of Fitzrovia – depending on who you ask! – but they are convenient to it.


Other options include Euston Road, Warren Street and Portland Place.


You’ll also find places to eat, drink and be merry throughout Fitzrovia. Options will include the usual chain pubs, bars and restaurants plus a range of individual options that offer a little more character.

Dinwiddy House is located on Pentonville Road‎, London. It’s a central location on one of the most famous roads in the city. It’s close to King’s Cross and St. Pancras rail stations and some great amenities.


Dinwiddy House offers a mixture of standard and double ensuite rooms and studios. All provide spacious private accommodation with locking doors, all furniture, study space and broadband.


Paul Robeson House is located on Penton Rise, London. It’s also a central location close to Pentonville Road and several leading universities. There are transport links all around and lots of amenities too.


Choose from standard ensuite or couples ensuite rooms. Both room types offer spacious accommodation with a sleeping area, study area, bathroom, all furniture, broadband and everything you’ll need.
