Manchester student studios FAQs

Where are your student buildings in Manchester?

Sanctuary Students has two buildings for students studying in Manchester: one on Grafton Street and another on Denmark Road. Both are close to university and college campuses, with the city centre right on your doorstep so you never miss out on the best it has to offer.

Whether you're attending a morning lecture at the University of Manchester, heading to a clinical placement at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, or exploring the city and getting involved in the action, our Manchester student buildings are perfectly positioned to ensure you're always moments away from where you need to be.

What’s the difference between your student rooms and Manchester student studios?

If you’re considering staying in a Manchester student studio, these student houses are a close match with everything you need to live student life to the max.

In our student accommodation at Grafton Street and Denmark Road, you can still get a double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, wardrobe and shelves, desk and chair, and even a fridge and freezer. That’s almost the same as a student studio in Manchester, just without your own oven and microwave for cooking, or an extra sofa to chill on.

In fact, that’s really the only difference between a Manchester student studio and one of our en-suite student rooms in the city!

Studios tend to have quite a small kitchenette, so you’ll be limited in what you can cook in there anyway. On the other hand, our Manchester student halls come with a large fully-fitted communal kitchen, with a breakfast bar, seating, and all the appliances and worktop space you need for prepping and cooking big meals!

How does your accommodation compare to student studios in Manchester?

The majority of our Manchester student rooms are spacious with double beds and an en-suite bathroom, fully equipped with everything you might need for student life in the city. That means you get a comfy bed to sleep in, a desk and chair for studying, plenty of storage with a wardrobe and shelving, and your very own bathroom for a bit of privacy. Oh, and you also get super-fast 250 Mb/s Wi-Fi and contents insurance included in your rent so you can study online and stream movies with no interruptions!

Our student accommodation options in the city are comparable to other student studios in Manchester, at an affordable price tag too. Our buildings at Grafton Street and Denmark Road are clean, secure and well looked after. Both options have a shared kitchen and communal area that provide all the opportunities to socialise and make friends.

While you may not get any cooking facilities in your actual room, our large communal kitchens are fully equipped with a fridge and freezer, breakfast bar, oven and hob, microwave, and plenty of worktop space so you won’t miss out on much at all!

When you stay with Sanctuary Students, you’ll also have on-site laundry facilities to wash your clothes, security and CCTV for your safety and peace of mind, and 24-hour maintenance on hand in case anything goes wrong.

Is a student studio in Manchester right for me?

Our Manchester student rooms can provide much of the same benefits as a studio, including a double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, wardrobe and shelves, desk and chair, and a fridge and freezer.

The only thing you won't have is a dedicated kitchen area, although many students come to enjoy the larger communal kitchens offered by Sanctuary Students.

If you value privacy, convenience, and a community vibe, and want a more affordable accommodation option in the city, why not consider a large double en-suite room which offers almost all the same things?
