Gold award for Sanctuary Students

The award followed an assessment which measured the way that people are led, managed, and developed. All employees were given the opportunity to complete an online questionnaire and a sample of employees were interviewed by an assessor.

This is a phenomenal achievement given the pandemic and is a reflection of the great work employees across Students do every day. Sam McMillan, Director of Students, says:

”I am absolutely thrilled to achieve Gold in our recent Investors in People assessment. The last 18 months has been a real challenge for our business so achieving the Gold award at this time really showcases the dedication our teams have to make Sanctuary a great place to work. Well done everyone and keep up the excellent work!”

The accreditation demonstrates that Sanctuary Students cares for its people and is ambitious to do even more for them.

The IiP assessor said Sanctuary “had made significant improvements since the last assessment, and these have been achieved through continuous improvement and a strengthening of consistency and the level of engagement with people across all locations. People feel they are empowered to take responsibility for their own performance. Managers are increasingly adopting an enabling approach to leadership and performance management”.

The accreditation lasts three years, during which the business area will take forward actions from the assessors’ feedback for continuous improvement.
