Celebrating Pride for our final Big Night In!

In winter 2020, we launched the Sanctuary Students Big Night In, with monthly challenges that you and your flatmates can take part in from the comfort of your student digs. We’re thrilled that over 3,000 of you have joined in with our activities over the past six months.

For our sixth – and final – edition of the Big Night In, we sent out 220 rainbow-making kits to celebrate Pride! Our students received everything they needed to bake and decorate their four-tier vanilla rainbow cakes. We also included in some Pride-themed decorations to help everyone get into the spirit!

Our winners were Beatrice Blanes, Piera Battista and Yutaka Yoshida from Denmark Road, Manchester. Congratulations – enjoy your prize! Check out their creations above!

As our Big Night In series comes to an end, we’re sad to see it go, but we’re proud that we could help our students have a bit of fun during such uncertain times. After all, for the last 15 months, staying in was the new going out!

We’re always looking to go the extra mile to make sure that everyone in our student community has the best possible living experience – and, as things continue to open up, we’re busy thinking of fun ways to bring our students together.

We’re proud to celebrate and support Pride Month, so we were delighted to end our Big Night In with a Pride theme. Click here to read about the LGBTQ+ communities in our university cities, and the events going on near our student accommodation this summer.
