Property Overview

Sanctuary Students nominate a small quota of rooms on behalf of SOAS but are not associated in any way with (University of London) processes.

If you are a SOAS student you can apply for one of these residences using our online application form. We strongly discourage continuing students (second years and above) from applying to these halls as the number of rooms available are extremely limited.

Once you have applied you will be sent an offer from Sanctuary Students from 1st February. Your offer preference will be sent to the Intercollegiate Halls Reservation Team who will contact you in June with an offer of accommodation.

You will be provided with new log in details and instructions on how to accept. All offers have strict deadlines, so please keep checking your emails for communication from (University of London).

If you would like to see a virtual tour of the Intercollegiate Halls, please log onto the SOAS website

Once you have been allocated your room preference, you will no longer need to log into your Sanctuary Student account, but must email london.students@sanctuary-students.com if you wish to cancel your application.

One of the properties, International Hall, also has flats for students with children. To be considered for these flats, please contact the hall directly.

You can email info.halls@london.ac.uk or see the University of London website for more information on this accommodation.

Additional Information

If you are a SOAS student you can apply for one of these residences using our online application form.

You will be notified by the Intercollegiate Halls Residence Team of your offer in June.

Only a maximum of 10% of the rooms from the Intercollegiate Halls quota is used for continuing students, with the remainder used for new and returning students. The Intercollegiate Halls select continuing students from internal applications (students already living there) in order to continue the life and community spirit of the halls. As there are usually a high number of internal applicants, we don't usually nominate continuing students as there are generally no rooms left.

If you want to apply for a room in the Intercollegiate Halls you will only be considered for one choice of Intercollegiate accommodation. Please do not select a second choice, as this cannot be considered due to oversubscription.

Important note for NEW students

The deadline for applications to the Intercollegiate Halls is 30 June.

Important note for RETURNING students

The deadline for returning students is 30 June.

Important note for CONTINUING students

The deadline for continuing students was 31 March.
